Nohemi Gomez

Nohemi Gomez is an NCN Project Assistant working in collaboration with California’s Office of Youth and Community Restoration to support youth impacted by the juvenile justice system.

Nohemi is the daughter of Eustolia Gomez Leyva Mendoza and Jose Gomez Aispuro who migrated from Durango and Mexico City. Her parents planted seeds in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles and Nohemi blossomed in the bay area as a graduate from San Francisco State University with a double major in Latino/a Studies and Africana studies. As a first generation Xicana she has navigated many systems for the first time, and her passion is advocating for her parents as well as the communities with which she continues to work.
