32nd Annual Hombres Retiros Cancelled
This year marks the 32nd Annual Hombres Retiro that men would have traveled to Mission San Antonio de Padua in Jolon, California to gather in ceremony to reconnect with our ancestral traditions to strengthen our spirit. The intergenerational group of men that have gathered since 1988 have offered prayers of support so that as hombres we would strengthen our commitment to heal and be better hombres, fathers, partners and friends.
Central to the retiro was creating a space (lugar) where sharing and reflection could take place safely. The current COVID-19 pandemic has created health considerations that cannot be overlooked, especially for those who have health conditions. As a result, we are cancelling the in-person retiros for 2020.
